Week 25 – Menu and shopping list

This week we we again start with a roasted chicken. We roast the cauliflower along with it and the roasting of the cauliflower adds so much flavor. Another flavor booster is to caramelize the onions before you mix them into the turkey meatloaf. I buy my ground turkey in the tubes frozen. Especially when they are on sale. You can find ground turkey on sale for as low as 99 cents a pound. I also buy pork tenderloins on sale and freeze them. The apple sauce you make with this recipe is delicious.

SUNDAY

Brunch Quiche, toast w/ jam, orange juice
Dinner Roasted chicken and cauliflower, salad

MONDAY
Breakfast Cereal hot or cold, orange juice
Lunch egg salad sandwich, carrot sticks
Dinner Turkey and caramelized onion meatloaf, baked carrots and potatoes

TUESDAY
Breakfast Cereal hot or cold, orange juice
Lunch PB&J sandwich, fresh or canned fruit
Dinner chicken and rice soup , fresh or canned fruit

WEDNESDAY
Breakfast cereal hot or cold, orange juice
Lunch turkey meatloaf sandwich, fruit
Dinner easy spaghetti, salad, garlic bread

THURSDAY
Breakfast Breakfast sandwich, orange juice
Lunch  chicken soup
Dinner tuna salad roll ups, fresh or canned fruit

FRIDAY
Breakfast cereal hot or cold, orange juice
Lunch easy spaghetti fresh or canned fruit
Dinner   soup and grilled cheese (make a big bowl of popcorn and watch a movie)

SATURDAY
Brunch Breakfast hash, orange juice
Dinner apple pork tenderloin, salad, cookies

SHOPPING LIST

ground turkey, chicken whole, small pork tenderloin,  tuna, cheddar cheese, eggs, cereal (hot or cold), frozen vegetable, salad greens, onion, canned tomatoes, garlic, pasta, orange juice, milk, fresh fruit
