Week 4 – menu and shopping list

This week the temperature drops enough for a bowl of chili, I offer my 4 can chili which take just a few minutes to prepare. Great for left overs and to make a hearty stuffed potato. Not very often will I say buy a prepared item to eat as a main course but this week for Thursday’s dinner I offer canned soup. Because we are just getting started on this series we do not have any frozen soup to reheat yet. We will get there. If you desire it have chili instead. I am posting the pizza recipe this week. So easy to make. The crust does not have to rise. Use it right away. I often set aside some of the Italian sausage we used last week to make this with. You can use any toppings from chicken to onions to hamburger. I really enjoy using just  roasted vegetables.

SUNDAY
Brunch cheese omelet toast w/ jam, american fries, orange juice
Dinner 4 can chili, fresh fruit

MONDAY
Breakfast Cereal, orange juice
Lunch egg salad sandwiches, carrot sticks
Dinner turkey burger, corn on the cob, chips

TUESDAY
Breakfast cereal, orange juice
Lunch 4 can chili, fresh fruit
Dinner pizza, salad greens, fruit

WEDNESDAY
Breakfast cereal, orange juice
Lunch pb&j sandwich, carrots
Dinner meatloaf w/ baked potato,frozen vegetable, fresh fruit

THURSDAY
Breakfast egg sandwich, orange juice
Lunch  cold meatloaf sandwich, carrots
Dinner soup,salad greens, fresh fruit

FRIDAY
Breakfast cereal, orange juice
Lunch egg salad sandwich
Dinner stuffed baked potatoes w/chili, fresh fruit (make a big bowl of popcorn and watch a movie)

SATURDAY
Brunch breakfast hash, toast w/ jam, orange juice
Dinner pork spare ribs w/ bbq sauce, salad greens, corn on the cob fresh fruit

SHOPPING LIST

ground turkey, hamburger, pork spare ribs corn on the cob, carrot sticks, eggs, cereal, frozen vegetable, can of pureed tomatoes w/basil,   canned tomatoes w/ chili seasoning, canned beans w/ chili seasoning  celery, onion, 2 lb red potatoes, can of soup, shredded cheese, head of lettuce, bread,orange juice, fresh fruit
